This a combination of the Wednesday Sketch and the Twisted Thursday challenges at The Outlawz. I used the sketch and did the theme from Thursday. The dressed is done using the paper quilting technique with Washi paper.
Hat day was September 15. In honor of this day, the coloring challenge at The Outlawz was to make a card with a hat. My facebook group put out a challenge of colors that you do not normally put together. I did orange and pink.
A challenge for a facebook group I belong to was to make a card with pears or apples. This image is from Unity Stamp Company and I had not used it before. The background paper is very old Basic Grey paper.
The Sunday CAS challenge at The Outlawz was to use geometric shapes on your card. I went with circles. Not only is my card round, but there are lots of round snowflakes on it. I used an embossing folder for the image and then added some glitter for highlights.
The Twisted Thursday challenge at The Outlawz this past week was to add layers to your card. I found this "Happy" paper in my stash and just added the birthday sticker. The image is from Whimsy Stamps.
The color challenge at The Outlawz this week was a inspiration picture. It was several glasses of adult beverages in pretty colors. I did not have any stamps to fit that, so I used these cute mice and their soda bottles.
The Tuesday color challenge at The Outlawz last week was to use Black Cab, Red Bus, and Road Gray. I used a napkin for this image. I used to pieces of it (one I cut out the owl and coated him with glossy accents). I adhere the total napkin onto a piece of red cardstock. The twist was to make it shiny.
As always, the last Friday of the month, the Coloring challenge is "Anything Goes" - "Christmas Optional". I was asked to make 6 baby's first Christmas cards so it fit the bill perfectly. I used Sparkle-n-Fluff for the snow on the cards.
A facebook group that I belong to is a year old. We were challenged to make a birthday card for the group. The lady who started the group loves to make cards with butterflies, so I thought it was appropriate to include a butterfly on my card. The card is made with a napkin.
